What's On for Seniors

Are you looking for an activity that you can join in with or would you especially like to meet others and make new friends. Then come along to one of the many activities for seniors listed below. There is something for everyone, from Boccia fitness classes to bingo, soup to singing in addition to  walking for health or maybe you fancy just a nice cup of tea with cake. You will find all of these activities and more below.

Activities for Our Seniors

Monday

Bingo at Bearley  every Monday  from 2pm to 4pm in the Bearley House communal room. It is  £1 per session. Contact Doreen Southall on 01935 823063 for more details.

Knit and Natter – every Monday from 2pm to 4pm in Martock Library at the precinct.

Mature Move  – every Monday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at Martock Parish Hall. Contact number 01823 345626 or email ageingwell@ageuksomerset.org.uk

Tuesday

Boccia  – every Tuesday from 11am to 12 midday at Swallowfields Court, Mow Barton, North Street, Martock.  It is £1 per session.

Sport 50+ – Held every Tuesday from 2pm to 3.30pm, come along to the Parish Hall  in Martock where you will find a wide range of adapted sports including: New Age Kurling, Boccia, Seated Volley Ball and Table Tennis. There is no charge.

Wednesday

Seated Yoga, Stretch & Flex for the Over 50’sthere is a session held every Wednesday  from 11.30am to 12.30pm at the Martock Parish Hall. It is £4 per session.

Martock Carer Support Group – held on the second Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 midday at The Pavilion, Martock, Recreation Ground. All ages are welcome at  no charge.

Thursday

Martock Friends-Active Living Centre every Thursday from 10am to 3pm at Bearley House, Martock. Charged at £2 for the morning or £10 for the day to include lunch.

Young at Heart with MCF is on the third Thursday of the month, meet 2.30pm

Friday

Time for Tea held on the second Friday of each month from 2pm to 4pm at Martock United Reformed Church, Bower Hinton. All ages are welcome. Contact Clive Jones on 01935 822929

Free Health Walk – Open to all ages. The walks are held on the third Friday of the month, meeting at  9.30am at the Precinct, Martock.  There is no charge. Contact Caroline Bennett on 07946121612 or email caroline.bennett@martock-pc.gov.uk

Come for Coffee – held the fourth Friday of the month, 10am -12 midday, Martock Parish Hall. All ages are welcome.

Tea and Table Games  – Every other Friday commencing the 2nd March from 2pm  to 3.30pm. To be held at The George Inn, where everyone is welcome to join in with traditional table games and a cuppa. Tea and Table Games
